Just when I started to feel better about being a Philadelphia Sports fan, after reading these depressing emails from Seattle Supesonic fans. Then I read this article from Bill Conlin.

I'd like to think that this core team will stick together for years. But I have no faith in this ownership. No one does really. It makes you long for the days, when the Phillies were the gold standard. They were once, like the Dodgers, according to Schmidt.
In other Phillies "news", found this picture from the Library of Congress, which is putting pictures up on Flickr, I found this old time pict of a Phillie named John Titus. Who was John Titus?
