Story Summary
Well the National League Champions meet the American League champions tonight in game one. I wonder if anyone else is as nervous as I. Naaaah.

I haven't played organized baseball in probably 20 years. As a little leaguer I would get butterflies before every ballgame. My father always told me, "that means you are ready." Well, what does it mean, when you aren't playing in the game?
The Phillies play their first World Series game in 15 years. And this time it will be away. The comforts of Citizens Bank Park and their fans will not be there for the Phillies tonight. Will they have nerves? Will the players feel the nerves of not winning a championship in 28 years? Will the Phillies feel the collective nerves of a city who haven't seen a championship in 25 years???
I hope they don't feel these nerves. An article the other day, said the Phillies wouldn't be able to win because they have the pressure of those 25 years. But they really don't. They don't know what it's like to be a fan. Now, if the Phillies missed the plane and you had to pull 25 Phillies fans out of the stands to play these games... well, shit... yeah, we'd be nervous. But I'm not worried about Burrell or Rollins or Utley or Howard or Cole or Lidge. Let's DO THIS!
Less Cowbell
We have to deal with the stupid Cow Bell sound. Which is the kind of hysteria that fans from a deflated franchise usually do. See Major League. Why not dress up Randy Quaid and put him in the outfield.
