We kid the Manager alot here and for good reason. But sometimes the guy makes sense and doesn't sound like so much of a Cartoon character. So we give credit when credit is DUE!:

"That's baseball at its best," manager Charlie Manuel said sarcastically. "You've got to play better than that. Bottom line... . They look around and think if they don't make the team, it's because somebody doesn't like them or somebody didn't give them a chance. Performance counts. It's called accountability."

Yup, that's our manager!
