2004 Week 7: Phillies Weekly

Editors Note: Each Sunday Night Inside the Dugout will give you the wrap-up on this week's baseball season.

The Phillies finish the week 5 and 2 and atop the division by a half game. An excellent week with the Phillies showing some come back from behind muster. That is integral to success in the National League East. The Marlins are still in the hunt. And as I like to point out: The Phillies NON-Marlins record is 24-12 (.667) winning percentage. The Marlins NON- Phillies record is 18-19.

What's Next?

6 Games against the NL East. The Phillies have a quick 2 game road stand with the New York Mets. Then come back to Citizens Bank Park for 4 games this weekend.

Bowa Watch

Facing injuries to 4 KEY players: Wagner, Thome, Wolf and Polanco, the Phillies scratched their way to the top of the NL East. That has as much to do with the manager as the players.
