It's Friday before a Holiday weekend. So we are going to leave you with some links for your to read while you waste away the last few hours of the work day.
And for my buddy Kyle, who's very busy today working on Lakeside-Park.com I imagine, there are quite a few links that he'd be interested in knowing about in the form of a IM Chat that never happened:
[10:02] HammRadio: I can't believe this
[10:02] HammRadio: Hockey doesn't work in Nashville?
[10:02] HammRadio: Really???
[10:02] HammRadio: Really Kyle??
As you can probably guess, Kyle is one of the few NHL fans left. (He's not a Flyers fan. He's a Penguins fan, because I guess in Lebanon, PA, there's a big Penguin fanbase.) But he can appreciate that the Anaheim-Ottawa finals resurrects a rivalry of one of the original 26 NHL teams.
Last NHL link of the day, I swear. Former Flyer (and Penguin) Rick Tocchett pleads guilty to running a gambling ring. I think we can all be sad, that Tocchet's hockey mullet is gone. It was one of the best.
Kyle's also big into cycling. And since he's part Mennonite, which is purely conjecture, and will be traveling to Europe to catch this years Tour De France. He's very interested in this article, which has helped Floyd Landis to be nominated for this week's A$$-hole of the week.
HammLinks: Around The Web Today
- Bush doesn't want to give war dead relatives $40 a month
- GWB, that makes you an A$$-HOle of the week nominee. This bird thinks so too. No matter how the GOP wants to spin it.
- Jimmy Carter is also an A$$-hole of the week nominee
- Not for criticizing Bush. But for apologizing when called on the carpet. Defend yourself Carter. Pretend the criticism is like a evil Sea Rabbit.
- Simple Solution to Stop Crime
- Give the Poor Jobs. Oddly enough. I think that might work. Now does Nutter have the stones to do it???
- Star Wars celebrates its 30th anniversary
- And you can celebrate it too by making your own movie. And if you don't think I plan on doing so, you are crazy!! Pop Candy is in LA celebrating the anniversary. I have to say I'm jealous.
- This is a Sad Story... Dakoda Dowd's Mom Died
- Here's some footage from that tournament with a Van Halen music bed underneath. I swear, I just learned how to get more POWER from my driver by Dowd's first swing in ths video. I'm not kidding.
- Goldman collecting OJ Money 1 dollar at a time.
- I won't lie. I find it creepy, that Goldman went to the Civil Courts to get his justice. The wrong decision was made sure. But going after money. That just cheapens you as a human being. Unless you were to take every dollar and put it towards some charity. But the fact that you made some lawyers rich over this trial. Cheapens the death of your son. Sorry, thats just how I feel. Still I find it hilarious that OJ gets 100 dollar checks from Towering Inferno. Classic.
I'm sitting on approximately $1,400 more or less of Naked Gun money," says Cook. "I have that money and we're getting [checks] every so often from Paramount. So the royalties are slowly coming in. We're due for another $100 bucks from The Towering Inferno."
- Continuing Stark's article on the Overated...
- Here's the Underrated.
- Conlin talks about stuff
- But he doesn't mention bringing this to Citzens Bank Park. Because he doesn't look like a man that has had all he can eat.
- The wrath of Barajas continues
- Let that anger turn into some real baseball talk as this fascinating baseball research is used by this guy to defend why we should keep Aaron Rowand and not trade him. This data supports the same thing.
