HammRadio Today: 6/30/2008 -- <br>I thought this was Americuh...

I thought this was Americuh... Well there are few links today, that got me a little riled up. And make me question what country we live in. Okay.. okay, maybe it's the Phillies that's causing me this agita... but... man... I thought this was Americuh.... From South Park's Losing Edge. Credit: SouthParkStudios.com

This movie looks a lot better than if I told you this. Kevin Costner. Kelsey Grammer. Dennis Hopper. Nathan Lane. George Lopez. Stanley Tucci. Poltical Comedy. You'd puke right? But I'll be honest, Swing Vote, which opens August 1, looks like a movie I'd enjoy. Although, I'm sure it will be a watered down version of an America dissatisfied with the current political climate. Maybe a little more Meet John Doe than Recount.

But there is a dissatisfaction in America right now. And it's more than gas prices. There should be vitriol when you see another 162 Billion dollars for the War Effort. Since this covers the Afghan War and provides for our soldiers, how can I argue. But it's another 162 billion. At some point (if we aren't past the tipping point) the costs of this war outweigh any intrinsic benefit. Our country is weaker. And morons like those in Flag City USA who can't quite figure out how to use the F'n internet to figure out that the email with the crying eagle that I got from my neighbor Jed that says that Obama was a muslim and lied about his medals in Vietnam isn't true.

These are ACTUAL voters. REAL Americans, who vote. So Obama has to respond to these people who question his patriotism. And then we have to deal with sound bite controversies like Wesley Clark who was having a fucking conversation on television that gets distorted to a sound bite. He calls McCain a hero. And responds to Bob Schieffer who says, that Obama who didn't get SHOT down and become a prisoner in Vietnam. Causing Clark to respond in kind that getting shot down and becoming a prisoner isn't a qualification for presidency.

It's not. It's heroic. But as Clark offers, it doesn't offer how McCain's military service would be equal to his own. The McCain camp says that his service makes him more qualified than Bush and certainly Obama. The REAL Commander In Chief. But does it? Does it really? Certainly his time in Congress and working with military affairs, but does getting shot down and becoming a prisoner, does that qualify you? And no one asks the questions about the mental anquish associated with being a prisoner. What psychological impacts from living under foot of the Vietnamese happens? But we can't question that? We're not allowed to question that?

I thought this was Americuh...
