Charlie Manuel knows Jim Thome. That was supposed to put Thome on the path to greatness with a monster year. But he's healthy, yet slumping. And you can hear the boos. Win or Lose, if Thome strikes out or pops up. Thye are booing. Here's what Manuel has to say:

"I tell him to slow down, put the head of the bat on the ball, nice and easy. I can say that all I want to. Of course, he knows what the problem is... trying too hard. But then, the problem is also baseball. You can't hit 'em every day."
