The Department of Justice has approved Sirius' buyout of XM. This will merge the two companies and save operating expenses. And give EVERYONE with satellite the option of having Howard Stern. Or not, if you select their proposed "ala carte" options, that might be needed to get FCC approval.
This is a good thing. Not because I own both XM and Sirius stock. I do. I think I have to disclose that. Who knows. I'm also a Sirius subscriber, which allowed me to listen to the Villanova-Siena game on my way back from DC, yesterday. I love me some First Wave, Alt Nation, Lithium and the Big 80s stations, among others. I just hope they don't change too much. And please... PLEASE don't fire Madison. I dig her. I dig that Mike Cunningham from the Proof of Concept too. You should hire him.
